Review of The Rockminer T1 800 gh
Review of The Rockminer T1 800 gh/s Bitcoin ASIC Miner
Rockminer has bot growing prompt te the Bitcoin ASIC miner industry and they have recently taken another step forward with their Rockminer T1 miner. This miner starts things off with a fresh vormgeving that steps away from the tube vormgeving that many of the Bitcoin ASIC mining manufacturers are commencing to use. The fresh vormgeving permits for stacking and ease of use ter that you can lightly access cables and connections while maintaining a hot and cold isle te large installations, spil well spil general elementary ease of use te smaller installations. The T1 also has a fresh controller, instead of a Raspberry Pi, it comes with a BE200 Jet Stratum Miner V Five.47 controller. This fresh controller can run Trio T1 miners. The specs of the T1 are good spil well with Rockminer upping the speed again overheen the R3-Box.

Rockminer T1 Blades
The Rockminer T1 arrived at my onderbrak with no bumps or bangs. The shipping gods are paying mij back for the BTC Garden that had arrived busted up not too long ago. The T1 is packaged very securely with foam and also included the BE200 Jet Stratum Miner V Five.47 controller and power cord packed securely within spil well. The T1’s packaging will make it look larger than it is. The cube form is klein and well protected by the chassis. You will quickly find that there are 8 PCIe connections on the unit, Two vanaf blade. Only one needs to be connected vanaf blade for normal operation. If you are going to OC, make sure that you have a muscled power supply and all 8 power connections linked. I used an EVGA 1300 watt Supernova Gold for this review. The BE200 connects to the miner via a three speld connector cable to the blades that are wired ter series. The BE200 can control up to Three th/s total or Four x T1s. Spil of the time of writing this the cable are only long enough to chain Three together. There will be longer cables te the near future. To connect two or more units, you would connect the cable from the bottom te the chain of one unit to the top of the chain on the 2nd unit. There are a set of instructions on Rockminer’s blog to permit for the toegevoegd miners. At the time of this writing, I only have the one T1 unit to test with. If I am able to get a 2nd, I will update with a utter walk through of the multi-link process. A few key things with the BE200 on setup, the controller uses the default 192.168.0.254 address, and you need to loom te using 192.168.0.254:8000 to access it. If your network is setup on 192.168.1.1 spil many are, then you will either need to switch it to 192.168.0.1 and switch the controller to it and roll back or connect directly to a laptop that you configure to communicate with it. Once you have it on your network, you can then commence with the settings. The settings screen is elementary and yet has effortless overclocking features and a solid, detailed statistics pagina. The test status pagina shows you the chips and if they are up or down. This feature can be handy for troubleshooting houtvezelplaat issues.
The BE200 controller is very picky about pool setups. On mine, I set it up using a tablet. The tablet wasgoed adding a “space” at the end of my pool selection that did not cause an kwestie on other controllers yet stopped this one dead. Dogie also told mij that they have a large block limitation that can cause issues with some pools. I wasgoed able to get it to work on BTCGuild and yet had troubles with Eligius. Nasty Pool worked fine, that one is a P2Pool, but the hash rate wasgoed cut down to 620 gh/s. For this review, I used BTC Guild. I want to note here that Rockminer’s customer service is amazing. When I had an kwestie at very first with getting the controller to connect to pools, Alex of Rockminer got right on Skype with mij and talent mij some reserve settings to attempt. I am amazed by that. Rockminer also has a nice detailed setup guide to for troubleshooting spil well. Rockminer has amazed mij each time with their miners, service and prices. They are determined to grow and bring mining to more people, and it shows with the little touches like that. [divider]CCN[/divider] When running, the T1 is quiet compared to many of the other miners I have reviewed lately. At Four feet, I read 53 dB from it on normal settings and when clocked to chip Freq 300 it wasgoed 59 dB at the same distance. This lower noise makes it a nice unit for in-home mining spil long spil you have it ter another slagroom.
T1 Effortless Access Power Connections
The miner itself has the ventilatoren pull the air te overheen the blades that gives it a nice even cooling rate. The miner stayed cool even te my hot mining slagroom. My best results were on BTCGuild with an average hash rate of 750 gh/s to 793 gh/s overheen 24 hrs at Freq of 270. The Rockminer T1 is a solid next step for Rockminer. The effortless to stack cases with the capability to chain up to three together. The side access for power connections makes it effortless to connect your PSU to the unit and standard access point when stacking. With it’s petite size, you can getraind a lotsbestemming of them ter a puny amount of space. The controller being a bit sensitive can make it difficult for fresh miners but their excellent customer support will help get those who do have trouble up and running quickly. More experienced miners will like the tweaking features and spectacle. With the Rockminer T1 and BE200 controllers, the usual 10% rejection rate that seems to plague the AM Gen Trio chip has come down to 6% to 7% te my tests. When I very first commenced running the T1, it wasgoed hovering at 4% but it did tick up overheen 24 hrs. Still an improvement which shows mij that Rockminer is looking to make improvements for spectacle that work and that they are getting some positive results doing so. The Rockminer T1 is a solid entrant into the market and a good choice. Rockminer spil a company proceeds to improve and shove out effortless to use well-performing miners. Disclosure: Miner wasgoed provided at a discount and spil a pre-production unit for review
